Course Activity Report

Via the left navigation, go to PiiQ Insights> Learning Reports> Course Activity Report

The Course Activity Report focuses on employee engagement with courses and allows administrators to quickly identify courses that are popular or are under-utilized by the company. Use this report to answer questions like:

  • Which courses in a certain category are most popular?
  • When it comes to self-enrollment, which courses are chosen by employees as opposed to those assigned by managers?
  • Is there a course that is often started but rarely completed?

This report is best utilized to collect aggregate data to inform your decisions about effective learning opportunities. To identify employees, please reference the Completion Report or leverage Manage Learners.

Step 1: Run the Report

Select the Course Activity Report in the reporting list. The report will be loaded with the activity metrics for all courses in your Learning Library.

Step 2: Filter Report Results

The report will list all courses with the following details.

Field Meaning
Course Course Title
Enrolled Number of people that registered or were assigned to this course during the selected time range
Not Started Number of people that have not started this course during the selected time range but are enrolled
Course played Number of people that played this course during the selected time range, but haven't completed the course during this time frame
Completed Number of people that have completed this course during the selected time range

The report allows you to filter the data based on:

  • Course name (Multiple)
  • Roles
  • Tags
  • Managers
  • Enrollment (Self-Registered or Assigned)

To select a filter please start typing in that field and select the relevant option.

Step 3: Change Date Range

By default the report lists all course activities that were recorded within the last 7 days. Admins can easily customize the time frame by selecting a range in the top right corner.

Step 4 : Export data

If you wish to export data into an excel spreadsheet, please click on the triple dot icon in the top right corner and then hit the Export button. You can export a subset of data by selecting a few records, or can export the whole data.

Please Note

A user may choose to complete a course more than once in a given time period. However, the report will only show that user once. Additionally, if the user plays a completed course again, this will put the course status back to In-progress and the report will reflect this.
